What a GREAT summer!

Getting ready for scout camp with the cousins troop-led by the wonderful scoutmasters, Uncle Perry and Grandpa Ewell. A meeting to go over info at our barn...
Each boy was presented with a beautiful staff made by Grandpa Ewell and his very kind friend. Here is Lincoln with his.
Grandpa telling the boys about their staffs
Carter and his staff. Each boy's was engraved with their names and their personal scout info.
Having fun... the whole troop minus one cousin, they had such a great week and earned lots of merit badges...made for a HAPPY MOM!!!!!

Brooke leaves for China

Brooke got a great internship in Beijing for 6 weeks. I was SO excited for her to go. I tried to sneak in her suitcase, but I was over the 50 pound weight limit...

Brooke and her precious roommates- Kinzie and Devri. What a blessing they have been to her. They met us on the way to the airport and gave her a gift-a CTR ring. (LOVE THEM!)

It felt very strange to leave her at security... brought back not such good memories. But I knew she would LOVE China and was happy to hear about the adventures.

One Great Summer!

Redneck summer activity-catchin chickens at the rodeo! (At least we thought they were chickens until they started crowing a few weeks later...)Reagan with her new pet-Ruby

Truman with "Bike Horn" (the sound it made when he pulled on the tail)

Wilson with "Stripes"

Then Carter and Lincoln chased the calves with money duct-taped on them. Lincoln got $1, and Carter got a $1 plus the big prize-$20! (He got trampled by the calf to get it.) They really make their mama proud!

Utah Valley Marathon in Provo

Reagan slept over at Brooke's and they
made these cute posters.
